I'm a business-minded web developer that specializes in building intuitive, impactful products from sketch to production. I also have a deep passion for learning new things and am always up for a challenge. Before becoming a developer, I studied Anthropology at the University of Colorado, worked as a brand strategist and copywriter, and completed freelance design work in my spare time.
My breadth of experience and strong analytical skills allow me to approach a project from different perspectives and create an extremely effective product.
I currently work at The Information where I am leading a comprehensive overhaul of business-critical systems. I have also redesigned our reading experience from the ground up, and worked with the editorial team to build interactive visualizations our users love.
Previously I've worked as a developer at VentureBeat and a marketing & advertising intern at Esurance.
I learned to code at General Assembly and built my first project SoundBites — a web app that finds you a place to eat based on the last song you listened to — after only 3 weeks.
When I'm not working you can find me at Ocean Beach surfing, in the mountains climbing, or at home cooking a mean meal.
